Meet 2023 ESPN five-star shooting guard Chris Lockett of Isidore Newman School (LA).
He has offers from Baylor, Houston, Vanderbilt, LSU, Oklahoma State, Grambling State, Georgetown, Wichita State and Memphis so far, according to his Verbal Commits page with plenty more programs showing interest right now.
College coaches say that they like, “how I create my own shot and how I can score on all three levels,” he explained, and he’s only getting better.
The 6-foot-5 guard can play both spots in the backcourt. ESPN has him slated as a shooting guard, but his style of play is much more catered towards the point guard position. He’s better when the ball is in his hands and he’s making plays.
He called the latest ESPN rankings, “motivation.” He’s currently ranked 13th in the class of 2023.
