Jasean Jackson picks up UT-Arlington offer

Hard work has really started to pay off for 2021 Wagner (TX) point guard Jasean Jackson.

The 6-foot-1 guard just added his first Division I scholarship offer from UT Arlington joining Colorado of Colorado Springs with Southern Illinois showing interest, as of now.

“It’s good. We keep in touch quite a bit,” he said of his relationship with UT Arlington. “I like what they have going on there.”

The coaches that have reached out, or been around Jackson, love his work ethic among everything, but they’re also a fan of his two-way style of play.

“[Coaches like] how I can play on both sides of the floor,” he said. “How I get after people on defense, consistent jump shot, my decision making with the fast pace I play at, and my competitiveness.”

To keep the recruiting momentum going, Jackson continues working hard on not just his game, but his body as well.

“I’m working on my body a lot to get myself ready for the next level, as well as, preparing for our tough schedule next year,” he said. “I worked really hard on my long distance shot to stretch out the defense, and finishing at the rim in different ways is also something I’ve been working a lot on.”
