2021 Lowell (IN) wing Christopher Mantis is a student-athlete that has started to jump on a lot of coaches radar as of late.

Just in the past month of June, he received offers from Illinois-Chicago, Milwaukee, Rhode Island and Appalachian State. He’s already received two more offers from Drake and Florida International in July, with plenty more programs also involved.

“As of now, we’ve only talked once or twice but the staff is awesome,” Mantis said of Florida International. “I’m starting to build more relationships with them.”

Bellarmine, Purdue Fort Wayne, Toledo, Valparaiso, Ball State and Incarnate Word have also offered with Vanderbilt, Stanford, Wofford, Belmont, Loyola-Chicago, Dayton, Marquette, San Diego, Evansville, Boise State, Furman, Lehigh, Florida Atlantic, Vermont, William & Mary, Air Force, Lipscomb, Oregon State and Davidson all showing interest.

His list is continuing to grow, and all the coaches have had similar thoughts about his game.

“My versatility and unselfishness,” he explained. “Almost every coach says I’m positionless.”

As Mantis continues to add offers, he’s also adding to his game. He’s working hard to continue to turn his interest into offers.

“Just getting stronger in the weight room,” he said. “I’ve gained about 15 pounds since March, that’s my biggest focus.”
