
2021 center Sir Issac Herron is still available and coaches are still offering him a scholarship.
Mississippi Valley State, IUPUI, Nicholls State, Mount St. Mary’s, Texas Southern, McNeese State, Montana State, Prairie View A&M, Tulsa, Oral Roberts, Texas-Rio Grande Valley and Louisiana Tech have offered.
New Mexico State and Tulane are also showing interest.
The three-star rated prospect on Rivals.com stands at 6-foot-9 with the tools and skills necessary to succeed on the Division I level. A lot of scouts see Herron as a late blooming big that could have possibly made a big splash this summer due to his improving game, and coaches have started to pinpoint certain aspects that they feel would fit into their system.
“Coaches like my versatility, athleticism, mindset and my motor,” he explained. And to further improve his game, he’s working on his, “ball handling and just my overall IQ,” he said.
As of now, Mount St. Mary’s and Oral Roberts are, “the main colleges that are very consistent on recruiting me,” he said, and as he continues to listen to more opportunities, he’s starting to do research and in preparation for his possible decision or the cutting of his list by early 2021.
