2021 Astronaut (FL) point guard Jace Carter added another offer last week, this one coming from the staff at Siena.
Since the summer started, Carter has picked up six scholarship offers bringing his overall total to eight.
“They really like my body and how versatile I am,” he said. “I can play the one through 3
Florida Gulf Coast, New Orleans, Appalachian State, Jacksonville, Wofford, Western Michigan, Siena and James Madison have all offered him, while Temple, Florida Atlantic, South Florida, College of Charleston, Iowa State, Tennessee, Murray State, George Mason, Toledo, Elon, Vermont, Air Force, Richmond, Louisiana Tech, Drake, Furman, Mercer, East Carolina, UT Chattanooga, Northeastern, ETSU and Hawaii are showing interest.
A lot of the new programs that have shown interest have been very keen of his film and plan to follow him diligently. He thanks his coach for the recent uptick in his recruitment and the fact that coaches are now able to really sit down and evaluate his film.
“I’d definitely say coach [Anthony] Ricks and making the change to CP25 has helped,” he said when asked about his uptick in his recruitment. “I feel like my film is pretty good so coaches are having time to really sit down and watch it due to the coronavirus. Also, the Virtual Evaluation Series with CP25 has helped coaches see my progression since we have been in quarantine.”
To make sure he continues to get better and capatalize on all of the new programs showing interest, Carter is in the gym and weight room everyday improving his skill set.
“Well, I’m lifting a lot more than I ever have,” he said. “I’m really trying to get my college body right now but we are really just working on extending my range, shooting the ball faster and coming off of screens and making the right decisions.”
