2021 South Miami (FL) point guard Arturo Dean is a player to keep your eye on if you’re a Division I basketball coach.
He recently received an offer from Jacksonville, and has offers from Florida Gulf Coast, Stetson and Mercer, with the likes of East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Georgia State and James Madison also showing interest.
“They like how quick and tough I am,” Dean explained. “How well I can create for others and myself.”
Right now, Dean is working on, “shooting and just finishing around the basket,” he said, while focusing the majority of his time on development. He knows more offers will come if he stays in the gym. And hopes that his improvement will turn into more offers in the future.
“I hope so,” he said. “I try not to think about [offers] too much. Just being patient and working hard. Everything else is going to fall in place.”
