Pay attention to incoming Blair Academy (NJ) student-athlete Ian Imegwu.
He’s a 6-foot-8 forward with improving guard like skills that can shoot and should be an integral part of Coach Joe Mantegna‘s rotation this upcoming season. It’s partly the reason why the 2023 student-athlete decided to attend the program.
“At Blair, I have the opportunity to play around great competition every day,” Imegwu said. “I think this will bring my game to the next level. Coach Mantegna is an extremely committed coach who has had a successful program.”
Offensively, Imegwu is a little bit of everything for defenses. He can bang in the post or float and hit mid range jump shots.
Some of his best attributes on the floor are, “shooting, protecting the rim and finishing at the basket,” he said.
And the improvements needed to continue to improve on his game? He wants to be able to be face up four that makes places off the dribble.
“My athleticism, as well as, my guard skills,” he explained. “I want to be able to stretch the floor.”
