2023 Calvary Christian Academy (FL) guard Carl Cherenfant added his second scholarship offer this week from SEC power LSU.

LSU joins Western Kentucky as the other program to offer the 6-foot-4 guard.

“My coach and basically my have a great relationship with head coach Will Wade,” he said. “He will be down to see me when Covid-19 has died down a bit.”

Oklahoma State, Miami, Florida and Florida Atlantic are all also showing interest in the playmaker that gives 110-percent on every play.

“Coaches like how hard I play and the way I drive to the basket,” he said. “And my ability on the defensive end to block shots and make plays with my length.”

Cherenfant is far removed from making any decision, as one would expect and is wide open in his recruitment. The only thing he’s expecting to change in the near future is coaches perspective of his game.

“I’m working on trying to be able to play the point guard spot. People consider me more of a two,” he explained. “I’m working on my jump shot to be very consistent and scoring more efficiently.”
