2022 Ardrey Kell (NC) forward Elijah Gray picked up his third offer yesterday after taking a zoom call from Cleveland State.
Cleveland State joins Elon and USC Upstate as the other programs to have offered Gray, along with plenty other programs showing interest.
“It’s started off great,” he said of his relationship with Cleveland State. “I had a Zoom meeting with the head coach and he left a great impression on me.”
Ole Miss, Tennessee, Temple, Tulsa, VCU, Belmont, Lipscomb, UT Chattanooga, Tennessee Tech and a few others, are also recruiting him and they love his ability to do a lot on both ends of the floor.
“They all love my versatility,” Gray explained. “How I can play, and guard the one through five.”
And Gray isn’t anywhere near done with adding to his game, and it should continue to improve over the course of the next two years. He’s working on adding elements, and fine tuning others, to put himself in position to take advantage of opportunities as they come.
“Right now, I’m working on counter moves off of dribble drives and my mid-post fade away,” he said. “Also, ball handling every day to continue to try to get a Kyrie like handle.”
