California point guard staying home to play for San Diego

Three-star point guard Wayne McKinney of Coronado (CA) announced that he will be attending San Diego.

He chose San Diego over offer from Idaho State, Loyola Marymount, Fresno State, Boise State, UC-Santa Barbara, TCU, Portland State and Eastern Washington.

McKinney averaged 28.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.6 assist and 2.7 steals last season as a junior. He was named 2019-20 first team All-CIF and City League Player of the Year.
