In their search for more Maryland guard, specifically from Baltimore, Loyola (MD) made a call to 2021 St. Frances Academy (MD) point guard Khyrie Staten to offer him a scholarship.
Binghamton, South Alabama, Illinois-Chicago, Howard, Delaware, Rose-Hulman, Wagner, Army, Delaware State, Mount Saint Mary’s and Chicago State are also showing interest in the guard that has a reputation of playing hard on both ends of the floor.
“[Coaches like] my offense and defense,” Staten said. “Also, that I play hard on both ends of the floor.”
After getting that first offer behind him, Staten is back in the gym and working on his game.
“I’m building my body,” he explained. “Working on getting my handle a little bit more crisp and reading defense.”
