College Basketball coaches are getting an early look at 2023 Christian Academy of Knoxville (TN) point guard Dante Oliver.
Oliver already has Winthrop, Coastal Carolina and North Carolina A&T scholarship offers with interest coming from George Washington, Belmont, UMBC, Virginia and Oklahoma, among others.
He has a lot of interest from other programs as well and he’s thankful for all the opportunities so early in the process.
“It’s an exciting feeling,” Oliver explained. “But it also makes me want to work even harder to get even more coaches to take notice.”
The coaches that have already taken notice have said they like his ability to lead his team and create offense for everyone on the floor.
“Coaches like my ability to shoot the ball,” he said. “Handle it and create for my teammates.”
As he prepares for another couple of years of high school basketball, Oliver is working on the most important aspects of his game. The first being his body, which should prepare him well for the next level.
“Strength and conditioning is an aspect that I’m working hard on right now,” Oliver said.
