Hinsdale Central (IL) sophomore Matas Buzelis recently picked up another high major offer.
The staff at Wake Forest reached out to his coaches and extended an offer and moved quick to start building a relationship that has gotten off to a really good start.
“I have a really good relationship with them,” Buzelis explained. “They have been really nice to me and are really interested in me.”
Home state program Illinois offered him a scholarship last month with programs such as Indiana, Wisconsin, George Washington and Butler also showing interest in the 2023 forward that can play multiple spots on the floor.
“Coaches like how versatile I am and how I can dribble the ball in transition,” he said.
At 6-foot-8, Buzelis is a matchup problem already and still improving. His focus now is on tightening his handle and getting stronger, which should help him get to the rim and his spots with ease.
