2024 Pace Academy (GA) point guard Kyle Greene Jr is already proving to be one of the better guards in his class and many college programs are taking notice.
He recently added offers from Ole Miss and Clemson to go with scholarships from South Carolina, Texas A&M and North Carolina A&T. We caught up with Greene Jr following his Clemson offer and this is what he had to say about the program.
“I like the level of competition Clemson plays,” he said. “With them being a power five school you always know with Clemson, you’re on a national stage.”
“Another thing I like about Clemson is their facilities. From the outside looking in, they have top tier facilities and that’s always a plus for me.”
Programs such as Butler, Virginia, Wake Forest and Western Carolina, among plenty others, are also showing interest in his game right now.
“It’s really exciting to have a lot of Division I schools offering me this early,” Greene Jr. explained. “It’s showing that all the work I put in behind the scenes is paying off. These offers also put a target on my back and I fully embrace that. I know people are going to come for me just because of my offers and I love that it allowss me to show people why I’ve gotten what I’ve gotten so far.”
Greene Jr is a young point guard but plays very mature. He has a great feel for the game and is at his best with the ball in his hands. This upcoming live period more coaches will be able to see why so many programs have offered him early and will likely start following his progress as well.
“I feel I can score the ball really well at all three levels,” he said. “I also feel that I play the game at my own pace. I rarely ever let people speed me up. Along with that, I feel that I can create very well off the dribble whether it be for me or my teammates.”
