2023 Liberty Heights (NC) guard Silas Demary Jr is a winner and it’s been proven this high school and AAU season.
Demary Jr won a state title, while helping his high school team to a 19-0 record. He also helped Team Curry to a UAA title and a 35-2 record.
“That accomplishment is crazy,” Demary Jr explained. “To be able to have that on your resume only going into your junior year is a big thing because it means you’re a winner and coaches like that.”
Providence certainly enjoyed his play this summer. They were the latest program to offer him a scholarship and the relationship has been developing nicely.
“The relationship I have with them is good,” he said. “Since the first call they always told me why they liked my game and why they wanted to recruit me.”
VCU and Coastal Carolina have also offered him this July. He also holds offers from Western Carolina and Radford and is getting recruited by Tennessee, Wake Forest, NC State, Liberty, Clemson, Elon, Mercer, Old Dominion, Loyola-Chicago, Temple, Virginia Tech, George Washington, Penn, Tulsa, Bucknell and College of Charleston.
“Coaches like how aware I am of the game and how I play off two feet,” he said. “My sense of direction, how I play both sides of the ball and how I am an all around player.”
