Ohio is the latest program to offer Team Durant (MD) guard Jamie Kaiser Jr a scholarship and more programs are still reaching out.
“It’s been great,” he said of his improving relationship with Ohio. “I’ve been talking to coach [Lamar] Thornton a lot and my relationship with them just keeps growing.”
He said that he’s recently heard from Iowa, Iona, Akron, Elon, Vanderbilt, Stanford and La Salle. He already holds offers from the likes of George Washington, Howard, Long Beach State, George Mason, Coastal Carolina and Southern Utah.
They’re all interested in his progression moving forward but like a lot about his game already.
“Coaches like my versatility and the intensity I defend with,” he explained. “How I shoot the ball, attack the rim hard and they also enjoy the athleticism.”
Kaiser Jr, a two-sport athlete, has used the tools learned from football to help him on the basketball court and coaches have certainly taken notice.
“It has helped me a lot,” he said. “Because I’m able to showcase my basketball athleticism in football and my football toughness in basketball.”
