AJ Dancler of Southport (IN) is a point guard that is on many coaches radar following his terrific play this summer.
“Most of the coaches are saying they like my passing ability a lot,” Dancler explained. “How I can make plays with the ball in my hands, the way I control the tempo and my toughness.”
Since the live period started, Evansville, Miami (OH), Illinois State, Western Michigan, IUPUI, Toledo, Northern Illinois, Indiana State, Ohio and Coastal Carolina have reached out. NIU was the most recent program to offer and that relationship has progressed really well.
“I have a really good relationship with coach Drew Gladstone,” he said. “We talk regularly and I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of the staff.”
With a lot of different programs consistently coming at him, Dancler has no intention of narrowing down his list soon. The 2023 point guard will take his time and give each program a fair chance to recruit him.
“My recruitment has picked up a lot the last couple of weeks so I don’t plan on narrowing down,” he said. “I still want to visit a lot of schools and build a relationship with the coaching staffs, and learn more about the schools.”
