For the fourth time in his career, Montverde Academy (FL) head coach Kevin Boyle was named the Naismith High School Boys Coach of the Year. He is now the only coach to win the award four times breaking a tie with former Oak Hill Academy head coach Steve Smith.

His senior forward Cooper Flagg was named the Boys High School Player of the Year a day later, marking the third time over the last five years a player from Montverde Academy has been named the HS POY.

A player from Montverde Academy has won the award five times, no other High School has had more than two since the award was introduced in 1987. Boyle has coached the Boys High School Player of the Year in each of the previous three years he has won the award.
