Oklahoma State transfer Brandon Garrison finished his freshman season averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. He will now take that level of production to the Kentucky Wildcats and new head coach Mark Pope, who he played against twice during his first season in the Big 12.
In those games, Garrison averaged 15.0 points and 4.5 rebounds on 85% shooting from the field. Oklahoma State split with the Cougars last season. His career-high 21 points came against Mark Pope’s BYU team last season.
The former McDonald’s All American had a total of 47 blocks in 32 games, which was tied for the 8th-most by any D-I freshman last season, and fifth most in a single season ever by any Oklahoma State freshman ever.
Garrison finished the season with one double-double, and scored at least 20-points in a game on three separate occasions, two coming in ranked games.
