The 2024 NBPA Top 100 Camp kicked off with a series of impressive performances from some of the nation’s top high school basketball prospects. Leading the charge was Kiyan Anthony of Long Island Lutheran (NY), who scored 42 points in his opening game. Anthony shot 15-of-28 from the field, including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, while also contributing seven rebounds and six assists.
Anthony’s 42 points are the most by any player at the NBPA Top 100 Camp since at least 2019, surpassing the 39 points scored by Naasir Cunningham in 2023. It’s already more than he scored at the camp in 2023.
Not far behind, Sadiq White from Myers Park (NC) made his presence felt with 31 points on 12-of-19 shooting. White also demonstrated his defensive skills, recording three blocks, becoming just the third player over the last five years to record at least 30 points and three blocks in a game, joining Cooper Flagg and A.J. Dybantsa, who both did this in 2023.
Meleek Thomas of Lincoln Park (PA) filled the stat sheet with 30 points, shooting 14-of-25 from the floor. Thomas also added nine rebounds and seven assists. He is only the fourth player over the last five years to record 30 points, five rebounds, and five assists in a single game at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, joining Kiyan Anthony (2024), Darius Acuff (2023), and Naasir Cunningham (2023).
Jason Crowe Jr. from Inglewood High (CA) showed his scoring ability with 29 points, hitting 12-of-22 shots. Crowe also grabbed five rebounds and tallied three steals, becoming just the seventh player over the last five years to record at least 25 points and three steals in a game at the NBPA Top 100 Camp.
Tounde Yessoufou of Saint Joseph (CA) posted a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Yessoufou shot 12-of-26 from the field and added three assists and three steals to round out his performance. He is the fifth player over the last five years to record a 25-point, 10-rebound game at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, joining Cameron Boozer (twice in 2023), Cooper Flagg (twice in 2023), Derik Queen (2023), and Isaiah Evans (twice in 2023).
Brayden Burries impressed with his efficiency, scoring 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including a perfect 5-of-5 from three-point range. Burries also collected six rebounds. His five three-point makes are the most without a miss in a single game over the last five years at the camp.
Xzavion Mitchell turned heads with his near-perfect shooting night, scoring 22 points while hitting 6-of-7 from the field and 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. Mitchell also pulled down 13 rebounds. His seven field goal attempts were the fewest by any 20-point scorer over the last five years at the NBPA Top 100 Camp.
Derek Dixon made his mark as a playmaker, dishing out 10 assists to go along with his 11 points. He is just the fifth player over the last five years at the camp to record a points-assist double-double, joining Drake Powell (2023), Ahmad Nowell (2023), Darius Acuff (2023), and Hassan Diarra (2019).
Shareef Jackson recorded a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Trent MacLean also notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while adding three steals to his stat line.
Rounding out the notable performances was Jermaine O’Neal Jr., who tallied 11 points and made a significant impact defensively with five blocks. O’Neal Jr. is just one of six players over the last five years at the camp to record at least 10 points and five blocks in a game.
