2025 point guard Angelino Mark is turning heads and attracting national attention from colleges across the United States.

Since May, the 6-foot-2 prospect has received offers from Utah, Seton Hall, Portland, and Pepperdine. Texas Tech, Oregon State, UCF, and Arizona State are among the latest programs to show interest.

The list of programs interested in Mark is extensive, ranging from high to mid-major programs. But, when it comes to location, Mark is unfazed—he’s ready to make his mark anywhere.

“It doesn’t matter to me. I get asked a lot by Big East schools,” he said of location. “The transition from the West Coast to the East Coast they kind of get nervous about taking a chance on a kid from the West Coast. But I love the game of basketball, so I just want to play wherever and whenever. Places don’t really matter.

“For me, it’s just about finding the right fit and a program that will match my play style and take advantage of that.”

One program that has already made a strong impression is Providence. With a fan base that’s anything but shy, Mark felt the love firsthand during his visit and consistently sees it online.

“I went to Providence on an unofficial visit when they played against UConn. I took pictures with a couple of people and spent the whole day with the coaching staff and players. So my face is out there,” he explained. “I will say that Providence has the strongest fan base by far that I’ve experienced. Every time I post an offer or something on Instagram, it’s always Friar Nation commenting, ‘Go Friars.’ They have a strong fan base, and I love it.”

Seton Hall, another Big East powerhouse, is also making waves in Mark’s recruitment. His visit in late March left a lasting impression, especially his connection with head coach Shaheen Holloway.

“That’s one of my favorite coaches. I love him a lot. He keeps it real,” Mark said. “They heard about my name and saw clips online. So, they just wanted to see me play in person.

“They came out during the first live session in Indianapolis, loved my game, and offered me right after that.”

Right now, AAU remains the main focus for Mark as he gauges further interest from potential colleges. However, he mentioned that he is looking to schedule a few visits and has a few schools in mind.

“AAU is the main focus, I would say,” he said. “But I have put some thought into taking visits to TCU, Seton Hall, and Northwestern. Those are three visits I’m excited to get on, and hopefully, I have a good time there.”

At 6-foot-2, Mark has the size to compete against other college guards, paired with the quickness and athleticism that could help him thrive at that level.

“I think I have a good mix of athleticism and speed, so I use that to my advantage,” he said. “I play fast offensively. Defensively, I get after it. I guard 94 feet, and I’m physical.”

With Mark’s recruitment heating up and more programs getting involved, a decision is unlikely to come soon. He plans to play out his summer with the Oakland Soldiers, finish the evaluation season with a Peach Jam appearance, and then assess his recruitment from there.
