Ty Price, the dynamic 2025 guard from Butler County High School (KY), has recently secured his sixth Division I offer from Southern Indiana. He also holds offers from Detroit, Jacksonville State, Southeast Missouri State, Eastern Kentucky, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Beyond these offers, Price is garnering interest from a diverse range of programs, including UT Martin, Weber State, Indiana State, Kennesaw State, Marshall, Harvard, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Youngstown State, Murray State, Fresno State, and Florida Atlantic.
Price has been on an offensive tear this summer, capturing the attention of many coaches. He recently scored 33 points in a win over Marion County at the KABC Titan Shootout, a performance that aligns with his reputation. Last year, he scored 40 points in a running-clock game at the Collins/Rockets Shootout, hitting 10 three-pointers.
While Price’s scoring ability sets him apart, it’s his all-around game that truly attracts coaches.
“Coaches like my competitive edge,” he said. “My shot-making ability, being able to affect the game by scoring and setting up my teammates for open looks, and my leadership and connectivity with my teammates.”
Currently, Price is laser-focused on his AAU season, aiming to further showcase his talents to college coaches, but the plan is to begin scheduling visits once the summer circuit concludes.
“I’m going to take several visits this year,” he says. “But most of that will be set up once AAU is over.”
As interest continues to mount, Price remains open to all opportunities. However, he has clear criteria for evaluating the programs pursuing him.
“Style of play,” he said regarding what he’s looking for in a future program. “I obviously like to play fast and open with a lot of ball screens; a run-and-gun offense. My relationship with the staff is important as well, and how much I feel like I can develop there as a player.”ant as well, and how much I feel like I can develop there as a player.”
