2027 Rutgers Prep (NJ) forward Andrew Kretkowski received his first Division I scholarship offer on the spot.

After scoring 28 points in a game at a Philly Live event in front of the Pepperdine staff, Kretkowski received a Division I offer from them after the game.

“Me and my parents were definitely excited,” he said of adding the offer. “But we know it’s still early in my career and I need to continue to get better and keep working. I’m thankful for the opportunity and thrilled to see what the future holds.”

Kretkowski has also performed well on the 15u EYBL circuit with the New York Rens. Since May, he has averaged 12 points and 3.1 rebounds per game on 58 percent shooting. His best game during that span was against Houston Hoops (TX), where he finished with 22 points, six rebounds, and two steals on 11-of-13 (85%) shooting from the field.

“I like to think I can do it all and do what my team needs,” he said. “I like getting downhill and finishing through contact but can hit the catch and shoot three.”

“Getting out in transition and playmaking are two aspects of my game I thrive in. On the defensive end, I like to get above the rim to block shots while also being able to guard smaller guards and bigger wings.”
