2025 guard Quentin Rhymes discusses LMU visit

Quentin Rhymes, a 2025 shooting guard, has been a hot commodity this summer. Green Bay, TCU, Nebraska, Wichita State, and Loyola Marymount have all offered him scholarships since May. Colorado, Boise State, and New Mexico are also actively recruiting him.

LMU, the most recent program to extend an offer, hosted Rhymes for an official visit that exceeded his expectations.

“I loved the visit,” he said. “They have an amazing coaching staff and I really love how they believe in me.”

While Rhymes got to see the usual aspects of the campus, it was the atmosphere and overall vibe that left a lasting impression.

“How comfortable my family was with all the coaching staff,” he said about what stook out the most. “Also, I really believe in their program due to the coaches being so hands on. I love the atmosphere.”

Next up could potentially be Nebraska. Rhymes mentioned September 20 as the date for his visit and said discussions are ongoing. Regarding his relationship with Nebraska, Rhymes had nothing but praise.

“I been in contact with them for a while now,” he said. “Coach [Fred] Hoiberg and coach Ernie [Zeigler] have been great in telling me my value to their program and that I’m a perfect fit.”

Rhymes is still open to other opportunities but has a timeframe for making his decision.

“I’m looking to make a decision by the October time frame.
