Isaac Ellis discusses game & recent High Point visit

Isaac Ellis, a 6-foot-1 point guard from the YNG Dreamers Overtime Elite league, is an intriguing prospect to follow.

Recently, he has netted offers from Radford and Eastern Kentucky, with a lineup of programs like Charleston, High Point, Queens University, Marshall, Appalachian State, Ohio, VCU, Penn, and Southern Illinois eagerly showing interest.

High Point, one of the many programs following his journey, recently welcomed the 2026 prospect to campus for a visit, and Ellis had nothing but good things to say.

“It was a great experience. The campus is one of the best in the country at any level,” he said. “Their play style fits me very well, and I like the way their coaching staff works a lot. They are a new staff going into their second year, so I haven’t had much time to get to know them, but I’m hoping to grow the relationship in the future.”

At the moment, Ellis doesn’t have any other visits on the calendar, but he’s in talks with Queens University and Eastern Kentucky to change that soon.

Ellis has an interesting playing background. During the high school season with OTE, he averaged 13.1 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game. When it mattered most in the postseason, he elevated his game, boosting his scoring average to 19.5 points, while maintaining his assists and rebounds around four per contest.

Ellis consistently showed that he is a versatile player, making him an appealing prospect to college coaches.

“Just the way I can play on and off the ball,” he said of what coaches like about him the most. “My shot-making ability, and probably the biggest thing is my leadership ability, and the way I lead and control my team.”

For the rest of the summer, Ellis will be starring for TLBA on the PRO16 circuit. He will be in Phoenix, Arizona, for the first live session and Indianapolis for the last live session.
