Omari Moore, a 2025 point guard from Hudson Catholic (N.J.), has seen his recent performances turn into scholarship offers.
Moore received an offer from Bucknell after scoring 17 and 20 points in games at Jersey Live. Loyola (Md.) extended an offer following his 27-point game against Sidwell Friends (D.C.).
Princeton, Yale, Penn, Lehigh, Marist, Old Dominion, Iona, Hampton, and Albany are also tracking his progress and appreciating his development as a player.
“Coaches like how I can play on and off the ball,” he said. “My activity on defense, my shooting and scoring capabilities, and how I handle pressure on-ball and can make plays.”
With a few more live periods available to showcase his skills, Moore could see his scholarship total jump as a result. He performed well over the last few weeks in front of coaches from Bucknell, Harvard, George Washington, Rutgers, and Seton Hall, among others, according to his AAU program.
Though he doesn’t have any visits scheduled yet, Moore plans to start arranging them after the live periods. He also shared his timeline for making a decision.
“Hopefully I can commit in October or early November,” he said. “I haven’t really narrowed down my options yet. I’m just waiting for the live periods to finish up so I can make the right choice.”
