Summit Academy (MI) guard Dominic Krzesowiak recently received an offer from Detroit Mercy after performing well at their team camp, and there is an interesting backstory to how the offer came about.

“One of the assistant coaches, I actually knew before he was at Mercy,” Krzesowiak said. “I had a good feeling they were going to offer me. They told the coaches it was coming soon, but I was still very surprised and excited when I got the call.”

Making the call to extend the offer was head coach Mark Montgomery of Detroit Mercy.

Air Force, Niagara, Eastern Michigan, Grand Valley State University, Creighton, Central Michigan, and Youngstown State are also following the 6-foot-5 prospect. According to Krzesowiak, coaches like his “ability to shoot, play defense, and be versatile.”

While a visit to Detroit Mercy is on his August agenda, the exact date remains up in the air. However, Krzesowiak has a clear timeline for his decision-making process.

“The goal is to have my decision before December,” he said.
