Inside the Numbers: 2024 Nike Peach Jam Day 7

We are now down to eight elite teams, and the excitement of bracket play is upon us. Nightrydas Elite (FL) will put their perfect record on the line against Drive Nation (TX) at 9 a.m. ET. Team Takeover (DC) will get their shot at UPlay Canada at 10:30 a.m. ET. The Oakland Soldiers (CA) will battle New Heights Lightning (NY) at noon ET, and JL3 (TX) will face off against Arizona Unity (AZ) at 1:30 p.m ET.

We are down to a win-or-go-home format, with the winners of each game playing at either 6 p.m. ET or 7:30 p.m. ET.

Team Takeover enters with a 13-game winning streak and is looking to become the first repeat champion of the Nike EYBL Peach Jam.

Individually, Brayden Burries led all scorers on the day with a 30-point, 8-rebound effort, shooting 10-of-16 (63%) from the floor, while also knocking down 4-of-7 (57%) threes.

Burries concludes his Peach Jam stay with five 20-point efforts, currently tied with AJ Dybantsa and Cameron Boozer for the most by any player this year.

Kaden House of Arizona Unity (AZ) scored 27 points, grabbed six rebounds, and swiped three steals in a win against Team Herro (WI) to help his team advance to bracket play. It’s his second 25-point effort of this Peach Jam, which is tied with Brayden Burries and Tyran Stokes for the most by any player.

Tyran Stokes had the game of the day, becoming the first player with a triple-double this Peach Jam after recording 25 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds to help the Oakland Soldiers defeat the PSA Cardinals, 90-75.

It’s the first 25-point triple-double at the Peach Jam since Isaac Okoro had 30 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds against the New York Lightning back on July 13, 2018, which was 2,198 days ago.

Furthermore, Stokes is just the fourth player since 2017 to record multiple 25-point double-doubles at the Peach Jam, joining Michael Porter Jr., Marvin Bagley III, and Sharife Cooper.

His teammate AJ Dybantsa had 23 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the win, recording his 10th straight 20-point game at the Peach Jam dating back to last year. His 10 20-point games at the Peach Jam are the most by any player over the last eight years.

Sadiq White of Team United (NC) cooked up a 25-point, 12-rebound effort on 9-of-15 (60%) from the field. White joins Stokes as the only players this Peach Jam with a 25-point double-double.

Cameron Boozer of Nightrydas Elite (FL) finished with another double-double after scoring 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. It’s his third 20-point double-double this Peach Jam, tied for the most by any player.

His brother Cayden Boozer flirted with a triple-double, posting 8 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds in the win, becoming just the second player this Peach Jam with a double-digit assist game.

At the 16U level, Rokiem Green had his best game of the Peach Jam with a 30-point effort on 12-of-20 (60%) shooting from the field. Green has scored in double figures in all of his games but had a combined 35 points in his first three games.

Jashawn Andrews of Brad Beal Elite (MO) finished with 29 points and shot a perfect 10-for-10 from the floor. That’s the most makes without a miss by any player regardless of level at this year’s Peach Jam.

Ashton Meeks of Team Durant (MD) is now up to three straight games with 25 or more points after scoring 28 against Team Melo (MD) on 10-of-18 (56%) from the floor. He’s currently averaging 23.3 points per game, which is the second-best scoring average at the 16U level.
