2026 Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (TX) wing Billy White III recently took an unofficial visit to Texas and walked away with an official scholarship offer from the program.

“The Texas visit was really good. The atmosphere with the football game was crazy and the fans were all engaged,” he said. “I really love the coaching staff. They all seem to really take an interest in me and my game. And The Moody Center, as well as the practice facilities, are all top tier.”

Texas along with Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, Sam Houston State, UTSA, UTRGV, Nevada, Wichita State, TCU and Texas State have offered White III a scholarship.

Oklahoma State, SMU, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Rice, Harvard, Oral Roberts, Iowa State, Stanford, Nebraska and Penn State have all been consistently reaching out as well.

“Coaches like my ability to shoot the ball from anywhere,” White III explained. “While making the right basketball play as well as rebounding, and defending one through five.”

As of right now, White III doesn’t have any more upcoming visits scheduled but does plan on taking a few more visits in the near future.

“I don’t have any scheduled at the moment,” he said of visits. “But, looking to take some to LSU, Tennessee and SMU.”
