Compton Magic athletes receive college offers across multiple classes

The Compton Magic continued to show why they’re one of the premier grassroots basketball programs in the country, with several athletes from the AAU basketball program received scholarship offers Monday, spanning four different high school classes.

In the 2026 class, Cameron Williams, a 6-foot-11 power forward who picked up offers from both Indiana and Washington. The ESPN 100 standout, ranked No. 37 nationally, continues to build on his reputation as one of the top big men in his class. Kade Snyder, a 6-8 forward and the son of former NBA first-round draft pick Kirk Snyder, was offered by Long Beach State. Rider Portela, a 6-5 combo guard, also added to his list of options with new offers from Nevada and Pepperdine.

Two players from the 2027 class also picked up offers. Bruce Branch III, a 6-foot-8 forward ranked No. 10 in ESPN’s 2027 rankings and a five-star prospect, drew an offer from Indiana. Nick Welch Jr., a 6-foot-9 center, also picked up an offer from Pepperdine as his stock continues to rise entering his junior year.

In the 2028 class, Cameron Anderson, a 6-5 guard ranked No. 16 in the ESPN 25 and rated as a four-star prospect, was offered by San Jose State.

Two incoming freshmen in the 2029 class also received offers. Juleeyan Williams, a 6-3 point guard, was offered by Pacific, while Axl Bland, a 6-6 wing, received an offer from Nebraska Kearney.
