2022 Stephenson (GA) wing Jaylen Peterson just received his long-awaited first scholarship offer and it comes from a coach with a great track record of winning and putting players in position for professional opportunities.
Jacksonville State got some good years out of junior point guard Derek St. Hilaire, but after just two playing seasons, the Georgia native is on the move.
6-6 shooting guard Isaac Chatman spent a year at Northeast Mississippi Community College after transferring from Campbell.
The Alabama native played in 27 games for the Tigers and averaged 13.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game on 50.4-percent shooting from the field.
He currently holds offers from Albany and Detroit with interest coming from Jacksonville State, Portland State, Southern Miss and North Alabama.
His recruitment right now is on hold. He’s waiting out the coronavirus and hoping to make moves soon.
“Right now, it’s just one of those things you got to wait and see,” Chatman explained. “I stay in constant communication with them, but just waiting to see if I’ll ever be able to go visit.”
