2025 guard Ahmad Torrence is attracting considerable attention from coaches this summer. The 6-foot-6 guard has received offers from Norfolk State, Manhattan, Fordham, Northern Illinois, and Chicago State, he says.

In addition to these offers, Torrence is also on the radar of numerous other programs, including Temple, Rider, Cornell, Fairfield, Bucknell, George Mason, Towson, Boston University, Drexel, William & Mary, Sacred Heart, Marist, LIU, Quinnipiac, and Hampton.

Among the schools vying for Torrence’s attention, Towson expects to host Torrence for an unofficial visit on June 24. Towson has won more than 20 games in three straight years for the first time in program history, and a player like Torrence could help Coach Pat Skerry maintain that level of excellence.

“Coaches like that I’m a very versatile playmaker with a high IQ,” he says. “And I can shoot the ball consistently.”

But Towson is not the only program expecting a visit from the talented playmaker. Norfolk State will host Torrence for an official visit from October 11th to the 13th. Additionally, he is arranging trips to Quinnipiac and Fordham, though the dates are yet to be finalized.

While exploring campuses and facilities is high on Torrence’s agenda, he is also keen to understand what sets each program apart.

“I just expect to meet the coaches and see the campus,” he said. “Show me the advantages their school has over other schools and why I should come play for them.”

Despite the flurry of recruitment activity, Torrence maintains that he’s not close to making a decision.

“My recruitment is completely wide open,” he admitted. “I’m still exploring all options and open to anything right now.”
