In a span of three days, 2025 point guard Daniel Steverson II added his first two Division I offers from Air Force and Southern Utah. He’s also being recruited by the likes of Adams State, Black Hills State, North Dakota, Trinidad State, Wyoming and Austin Peay.

“It definitely was a surreal feeling getting those offers,” he said. “Especially them being my first Division I offers. It felt like my hard work was starting to pay off.”

Air Force, which extended Steverson II’s first Division I scholarship offer, has developed a strong relationship with the 2025 prospect.

“My relationship with the Air Force staff is really strong,” he said. “I got in contact with them about two months ago and once I got on campus the whole staff was very welcoming to me and my family. It was great vibes.”

Similarly, Southern Utah, which offered Steverson II a few days later, is also in a good position with the emerging talent.

“Me and the head coach are pretty close,” he said. “I went to one of his elite camps last year, which I met the staff and all of them were cool, and gave me pointers on my game and stuff.”

Steverson II is a 6-foot-4 point guard with a 4.0 GPA. He is coming off a high school season in which he earned first-team All-State honors in New Mexico. He also recorded a triple-double (26 points, 10 assists, 10 rebounds) in his first game at the Recruit Look Kansas City Live Showcase.

He’s a versatile prospect, and this versatility is a significant draw for college coaches

“My ability to do everything on the court,” he said of what coaches like the most about his game. “Such as defending really well, hitting open shots, getting to the basket, and either finishing or making plays for my teammates.”

Right now, Steverson II’s recruitment is still open but he does plan on scheduling an official visit with Southern Utah, although that date isn’t finalized yet.
