Morrilton (AR) sophomore wing Joseph Pinion had a good week of recruiting.
Pinion reported huge offers from Tulsa and Kansas on his Twitter.
Kansas is one of the programs recruiting him the hardest right now, along with Central Arkansas, and he’s started to build a strong relationship with the staff.
“I think it’s good,” he said of their relationship. “I talked to coach [Bill] Self quite a bit and coach [Jerrance] Howard once or twice.”
Pinion got on a lot of coaches radar because of his play with the Joe Johnson Hawks, but they’ve also paid close attention to his work on the high school level. This year he averaged 18.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. He received all-state and all-conference honors.
“[Coaches] like that I can stretch the floor,” he said. “And, that I’m a playmaker.”
Louisville, Baylor, Arkansas, Ohio State, Stanford, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Illinois and Virginia Tech are also some of the programs tracking him at the moment.
