James Graham III of Nicolet (WI) is one of the hottest prospects in the midwest currently, hearing from coaches all across the country in the past few weeks.
He added an offer from UNC-Wilmington and Maryland recently, and had calls from a lot of major programs in the past couple of weeks.
“I think once coaches saw a school like Maryland take a chance, they were like, maybe we got to hop on this wave too,” Graham III said. “But then again, all these coaches have told me how high I was and how they wanted me, so I’m not sure what it was, especially recently.”
Temple, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Butler, Western Kentucky, Southern Illinois, Maryland, Tulsa, Toledo and Iowa have all been in contact with Graham III recently.
He’s done a zoom call with Maryland today, had a quick chat with Rutgers assistant coach Karl Hobbs, spoke to UW-Milwaukee the day prior and has plenty of suitors setting up zoom calls for later this week through his coach.
“I have gotten better, so that could be why so many schools are reaching out too,” he said. “I’ve gotten a lot better since I was younger, and they saw that on the film, and now I’m serious about recruiting.”
Graham III is enjoying the process and staying humble throughout. He’s definitely staying open and allowing coaches a fair opportunity to recruit him, and doesn’t plan on narrowing down until maybe before the start of his senior year.
