UAB transfer Makhtar Gueye has finally found a new home.
After hearing from the likes of Duke, Towson, Cal State Fullerton, St. Bonaventure, Utah, Fairfield, Troy, South Florida, New Mexico, Boston College and Siena, Gueye has announced his intentions to commit to Towson.
“It’s a perfect fit for me,” he explained. “I only have one year so I want to make the best decision and dominate for one year and move on to the next level.”

Gueye starred at UAB for the past three seasons playing 30+ games in three straight years. He moves on to his next destination with more opportunity, freedom on offense and the possibility of playing right away.
“I will most likely play right away and I will have a big role as well,” he said. “And I trust the head coach, who has done a tremendous job recruiting me and showing me a plan.”
“Another reason for me to leave the south, I think it was time to leave after everything that has happened here with racial issues.”
