Christ Essandoko is a name that many coaches should know.

The french born player, now at Winston Salem Christian (NC), has picked up four scholarship offers in the last 30 days with plenty more schools inquiring and showing heavy interest.

South Florida assistant coach Tom Herrion was the most recent to offer him a scholarship to go along with other scholarship offers from North Carolina A&T, San Diego State and Oral Roberts.

He told me that New Mexico and San Diego State were coming at him the hardest, and it’s all because of what the 6-foot-10 big has heard about his hands and mobility in the post.

“I got good vision for a big man,” he explained. “Great touch around the rim, better left hand than right, good passing ability, good IQ and I can shoot.”

The next step for Essandoko is getting, “stronger and faster,” he said, and that should help his chances of increasing his opportunities in the future.

Other programs such as Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Tulsa, Missouri State, Cincinnati and plenty more are recruiting him.
